Position Summary

The Service Technician Apprentice is an entry-level training position within the Service Department designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the pool service industry. This role works alongside experienced technicians to learn pool maintenance, equipment operation, water chemistry, troubleshooting, and customer service skills through hands-on field experience.

The Service Technician Apprentice supports routine service work, seasonal openings and closings, equipment cleaning, and general field operations while developing technical knowledge and industry experience.

This is a physically active, outdoor role ideal for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Service Technicians with daily pool maintenance and service routes
  • Learn pool cleaning procedures including vacuuming, brushing, skimming, and basket cleaning
  • Support seasonal pool openings and closings
  • Assist with water testing and chemical balancing procedures
  • Help clean, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles
  • Observe and assist with equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Maintain accurate service notes and job documentation as directed
  • Follow company safety procedures and operational standards
  • Provide professional and courteous customer interaction during service visits
  • Participate in ongoing hands-on technical training and development
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
