Key Responsibilities - HR Transaction Processing & Records Management

  • Process personnel transactions such as terminations, status changes, transfers, and pay adjustments with accuracy and urgency.
  • Execute mass employee file updates during system migrations, acquisitions, and restructuring to maintain data integrity.
  • Maintain and organize disciplinary documentation, ensuring audit-ready and accessible records.
  • Keep employee records in HRIS current, complete, and compliant with policies and legal requirements.

Leave Administration & Benefits Support

  • Track employee leave of absence status and coordinate with third-party partners for smooth communication.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions, guiding enrollment and claims resolution.
  • Support annual open enrollment, benefits communication, and new hire benefits orientation.

Employee Support & Issue Triage

  • Respond professionally and promptly to routine employee inquiries on policies and programs.
  • Resolve minor workplace concerns independently and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Provide empathetic and consistent support reflecting PalAmerican's commitment to its workforce.

Administrative Support & Special Projects

  • Generate reports, prepare data extracts, and assist with audit preparation.
  • Support HR initiatives including policy rollouts, compliance audits, system implementations, and documentation.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks with flexibility to meet evolving HR needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of HR administrative experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Professional communication skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Preferred: Experience in high-volume, multi-site environments; familiarity with leave administration and benefits; SHRM-CP, PHR, or aPHR certification or pursuit.
