General Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for front desk duties, following up with new employees, and assisting with various HR projects. You will be the first point of contact, ensuring smooth communication and efficient onboarding processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for employees, applicants, and visitors, delivering courteous and professional support.
- Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate HR team members.
- Follow up with new hires regarding orientation and required documentation.
- Support recruiters by maintaining effective communication with applicants.
- Assist with onboarding tasks such as badge issuance, documentation collection, and IT coordination.
- Ensure all background checks and screenings are completed before orientation.
- Process personnel updates, employment verifications, and maintain department supplies.
- Handle department invoices and payment requests as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
A High School Diploma is required. An Associate Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Experience
At least two years of administrative experience in Human Resources or a related area is expected, providing a solid foundation in HR practices.
Certification/License
Having an Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Mental/Physical Requirements
This role demands strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Candidates must be able to handle stressful situations, move throughout the facility, and lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
