Position Overview

OrthoMed Anesthesia is seeking a skilled Coder/Biller to join our growing anesthesia organization. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate coding and efficient billing processes for our anesthesia services. This is a full-time position based at our corporate office in Addison, TX. The role requires on-site presence during regular business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for anesthesia procedures and services
  • Review medical records and anesthesia reports to ensure accurate and compliant coding
  • Submit clean claims to insurance companies and manage the billing cycle
  • Stay updated on coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory changes affecting anesthesia billing
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other clinical staff to clarify documentation when needed
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare laws

Qualifications

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required
