Autodesk is seeking a Tax Manager to play a key role in our global income tax provision and reporting process. In this position, you will review and consolidate the interim and year-end income tax provisions under ASC 740, lead tax accounting for business combinations and strategic transactions, and manage for completeness non-recurring tax adjustments.
You will partner closely with global tax teams, Controllership, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and consistent application of tax accounting policies across jurisdictions. Beyond execution, you will help drive continuous improvement - identifying process enhancements, strengthening documentation, and supporting automation initiatives that enable scalability as Autodesk continues to grow.

Responsibilities
Review and consolidate the interim and year-end global income tax provision under ASC 740 (US GAAP)
Evaluate and document technical tax accounting positions, including uncertain tax positions and valuation allowances
Lead tax accounting for business combinations, including purchase accounting adjustments and opening balance sheet analysis
Manage consolidated discrete tax items, including stock-based compensation, restructuring, return-to-provision adjustments, audit settlements, and other non-recurring tax adjustments
Oversee effective tax rate (ETR) analysis and reconciliation
Partner with regional tax teams to ensure consistent application of tax accounting policies
Support provision-related process improvements, automation initiatives, and internal controls (SOX compliance)
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors related to income tax accounting
Contribute to provision project management, including timeline coordination and stakeholder communication
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting or Law
6+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax department
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP income tax accounting
Experience preparing or reviewing income tax provisions
Experience with tax purchase accounting for business combinations
Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
CPA or equivalent certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a multinational technology or software company
Experience with provision software (e.g., Longview Tax, OneSource Tax Provision or similar tools)
Familiarity with global tax reform impacts (e.g., Pillar Two, NCTI, BEAT, FDII)
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsabilites
Examiner et consolider la provision pour impots sur le revenu mondiale intermediaire et de fin d'exercice conformement a l'ASC 740 (US GAAP)
Evaluer et documenter les positions techniques en matiere de comptabilite fiscale, y compris les positions fiscales incertaines et les provisions pour depreciation
Diriger la comptabilite fiscale relative aux regroupements d'entreprises, y compris les ajustements lies a la comptabilisation des acquisitions et l'analyse du bilan d'ouverture
Gerer les elements fiscaux consolides ponctuels, notamment la remuneration en actions, les restructurations, les ajustements de retour a la provision, les reglements d'audit et autres ajustements fiscaux non recurrents
Superviser l'analyse et le rapprochement du taux d'imposition effectif (ETR)
Collaborer avec les equipes fiscales regionales afin de garantir une application coherente des politiques comptables fiscales
Soutenir les ameliorations des processus lies aux provisions, les initiatives d'automatisation et les controles internes (conformite SOX)
Servir de point de contact principal pour les auditeurs externes en matiere de comptabilite fiscale
Contribuer a la gestion des projets relatifs aux provisions, y compris la coordination des calendriers et la communication avec les parties prenantes
Qualifications Minimales
Licence ou master en comptabilite ou en droit
Au moins 6 ans d'experience pertinente en fiscalite dans le domaine de l'expertise comptable et/ou au sein du service fiscal d'une multinationale
Solides connaissances techniques de la norme ASC 740 et de la comptabilite de l'impot sur le resultat selon les PCGR americains
Experience dans la preparation ou la revision des provisions pour impots sur le resultat
Experience de la comptabilite d'acquisition fiscale dans le cadre de regroupements d'entreprises
Solides competences en analyse, en documentation et en resolution de problemes

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $90,000 and $162,140. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $101,200 and $139,150. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
