Job description

About Us:
Here at Ambience, we never set out to be just another scribe. We're building the AI intelligence platform that restores humanity to healthcare and drives meaningful ROI for health systems across the country.
Our technology helps providers focus on delivering great care by removing the administrative burden that pulls them away from patients and away from their most impactful work. Ambience delivers real-time coding-aware documentation and clinical workflow support across ambulatory, emergency and inpatient settings at the top health systems in North America.
Our teams operate relentlessly with extreme ownership to build the best solutions for our health system partners. We value candor, positivity and deep thought - and we expect a lot from each other because we know the problems we're solving truly matter.
Ambience was ranked #1 for Improving the Clinician Experience in the KLAS Research Emerging Solutions Top 20 Report, recognized by Fast Company as one of the Next Big Things in Tech, named one of the best AI companies in healthcare by Inc., and selected as a LinkedIn Top Startup in 2024 and 2025. We're backed by Oak HC/FT, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), OpenAI Startup Fund, and Kleiner Perkins - and we're just getting started.
Summary
Ambience is looking for an Analyst Relations Lead on a contract basis to build and execute our AR program from the ground up. In this role, you will establish Ambience as the category leader in ambient AI documentation for health systems - developing our analyst engagement strategy, optimizing our KLAS presence, and expanding relationships with key firms like Gartner, Forrester, Black Book, and Elion.
This is a high-impact contract role (20-30 hours/week, initial 6-month term with option to extend or convert) for a seasoned AR professional who can activate an existing analyst network from day one, work cross-functionally without direct authority, and translate market intelligence into actionable positioning for Sales, Marketing, and Product.
What you will accomplish
  • Develop a comprehensive AR strategy including analyst landscape assessment, tiered prioritization framework, and engagement playbook - delivered within the first 30 days.
  • Own KLAS optimization end-to-end: own customer outreach and invitations for research, coordinate cross-functional inputs across Marketing, Care Transformation, Product, and Sales, and develop proactive engagement with the KLAS research team on emerging sub-categories.
  • Initiate and manage relationships with priority analyst firms beyond KLAS, establishing a quarterly briefing cadence and positioning Ambience for inclusion in relevant market reports.
  • Serve as the internal hub for all analyst-related communications - routing inquiries, aligning stakeholders, and building the cross-functional coordination model that makes AR sustainable.
  • Partner with BizOps to integrate analyst insights into monthly business reviews, connecting AR activity to measurable outcomes like pipeline influence, win rates, and RFP citations.
  • Enable Sales and Marketing with analyst-sourced positioning tools, competitive intelligence, and market research.
  • Build an AR playbook and competitive intelligence dashboard for ongoing team enablement.
Early success indicators (first 60 to 90 days)
  • AR strategy document completed and approved by leadership, including analyst landscape assessment and prioritization rationale.
  • KLAS optimization plan in place with cross-functional alignment secured across Marketing, Care Transformation, Product, and Sales.
  • Initial relationships established with 2-3 priority analyst firms beyond KLAS.
  • Internal stakeholder mapping and coordination model operational.
  • Analyst insights contributing into monthly business reviews.
What we look for (must-have qualifications)
  • 7+ years of analyst relations experience in enterprise technology or healthcare IT.
  • Proven relationships with healthcare-focused analyst firms - candidates must be able to activate an existing network from day one (KLAS, Black Book, Gartner/Forrester healthcare practices, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated success building or transforming an AR program, including strategy development and cross-functional execution.
  • Experience working with fast-growth B2B SaaS or healthcare technology vendors.
  • Senior executive presence and communication skills - comfortable representing Ambience in the industry and presenting to C-suite.
  • Skilled at aligning stakeholders without direct authority in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Nice-to-have qualifications
  • Healthcare AI, clinical documentation, or EHR ecosystem expertise.
  • Epic partnership or Epic-focused vendor experience.
  • KLAS vendor program management experience.
  • Background in PR, communications, or product marketing with analyst overlap.
  • Track record of analyst report inclusions, Magic Quadrant placements, or Wave rankings.

Compensation and Structure
This is a contract engagement at 20-30 hours per week with an initial 6-month term. Compensation is commensurate with experience and the depth of existing analyst relationships. After the initial engagement, conversion to a full-time role will be evaluated based on program maturity, relationship activation, business impact, and mutual interest.
Life at Ambience
Working at Ambience means opting into a high-ownership, high-trust environment built for people who want to grow fast, operate decisively and focus on work that matters. This could be the right place for you if you want to
  • Work on mission-critical AI technology that directly improves clinicians' day-to-day lives and health system financial health across some of the most complex, high-stakes workflows in the world.
  • Join a "dream team" culture where we hire exceptional people, expect exceptional outcomes and invest deeply in feedback and continuous growth. We operate as a championship team, and that means being ok with hard, uncomfortable, ambiguous problems that lead to real greatness.
  • Operate with real ownership and accountability in an environment where there are no bystanders: If something is broken, we fix it! You will have meaningful autonomy and be expected to drive work to completion.

To help you do your best work, we pair these expectations with benefits intentionally designed to help you feel supported and safe at Ambience and beyond. Some of our key benefits include
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents
  • 401(k) with a company match of up to 3% of base salary
  • A remote-friendly culture (with a San Francisco HQ) and full equipment provisioning to ensure you can work effectively from wherever you're based.
  • Parental leave to support your family needs
  • Annual company-wide off-sites, team off-sites and regular team lunches and all-hands gatherings, with travel, lodging and meals covered
  • Flexible time off with no annual cap, company-wide holidays and an annual holiday shutdown from December 24-January 1 designed to support real rest and long-term sustainability.
