JOB SUMMARY
The AM Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food items in accordance with hotel standards and recipes. This role supports the team by ensuring a high-quality dining experience for guests, contributing to the overall operations of the hotel's food and beverage department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

  • Operational Responsibilities
    • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards along with following plating guidelines.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all parts of the kitchen and workstations.
    • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure timely and efficient food service to guests.
    • Respond to guest inquiries and accommodate special dietary requests.
    • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with guests and team members.
  • Team Support and Training
    • Assist in training new line cooks as needed.
    • Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate effectively with the executive chef and other kitchen staff.
    • Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.
    • Report any concerns for a smooth service (ie prep, equipment or shorts)
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
    • Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
