Job description

Overview
Reporting to the Director of Planning & Allocation, the Senior Allocation Planner is responsible for the strategic distribution of both seasonal and permanent inventory across all retail locations. This role owns the initial allocation of seasonal products as well as the in-season execution of replenishment strategies, ensuring optimal inventory levels that align with financial targets and business objectives. The Senior Allocation Planner partners closely with Buying and Retail teams to maximize sales opportunities, support product performance, and drive inventory efficiency across the network.
Your Impact
Allocation Management
  • Manage in-season replenishment and inventory rebalancing to maximize sell-through, considering sales trends, store capacity, and visual merchandising requirements.
  • Recommend and execute transfers based on shifts in regional performance or product demand.
  • Evaluate assortment changes and update allocation parameters and store profiles accordingly.
  • Partner with regional and store teams to support product requests, events, and local merchandising needs.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in allocation systems, tools, and best practices.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Perform detailed style, color, and size analyses to identify actionable opportunities at the store level.
  • Develop and maintain weekly reporting on sales trends, shipping status, and allocation execution by store and theme.
  • Monitor stock-to-sales ratios and provide visibility to in-season inventory performance.

Allocation Strategy & Execution
  • Analyze store and product performance to inform reallocation and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Execute replenishment strategies in alignment with financial targets and assortment plans.
  • Support in-season inventory adjustments and maximize sales potential across all doors and channels.

Post-Season & Performance Analysis
  • Provide post-season analysis to inform future allocation strategies and buying decisions.
  • Identify underperforming stores or product categories and recommend corrective actions.
  • Deliver insights and strategic recommendations to cross-functional partners.

Professional Conduct & Teamwork
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach, actively supporting activities that contribute to overall business goals.

Additional Information
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A
reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $75,000 to $100,000 per year.
In addition to competitive pay, the hired candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, paid parental leave, 11 paid holidays, accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation time, 2 personal days, employee discounts, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.
The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan
