Job Description

The Manager of Allocation is responsible for delivering desired in-stock levels for core and seasonal products, along with the allocation of inventory across all channels and warehouses. They closely partner with the Merchandise Planning and Merchandising teams, to maintain inventory levels and allocation plans that meet financial targets and mitigate risk to the business. Developing and owning inventory and allocation of strategic initiatives and processes to improve efficiencies across core products and new product launches.  

What you'll get to do: 

  • Oversee formulation of operating guidelines and procedures for inventory management and allocation  
  • Responsible for leading and developing a team that implements and maintain item/location-level inventory plans for a group of product categories that support financial objectives  
  • Responsible for managing total reporting of store analysis/insight/opportunities based on $ and ST%  
  • Partner with the Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Logistics, and Production teams on escalated issues and process improvements while ensuring inventory strategies and objectives are met  
  • Visit stores (in person & virtual) on a regular basis to understand site-specific opportunities. Spark cross-functional action that improves the complexion of store-level inventory.  
  • Assess the systems that support planning & replenishment, and identify any need to upgrade or modify to improve accuracy and efficiency  
  • Analyze sales and inventory trends to create and execute strategies to maximize sales, profits, and availability to grow the business and achieve the financial plan  
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies that accommodate, including short-coded items, seasonal buys, and buys  
  • Incorporate modeling, situation analysis, problem diagnosis, and operations analysis to support business decision-making with financial analysis  
  • Translates corporate and division goals/objectives into planning and replenishment strategies  
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of allocation planners. 
Qualifications

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Statistics and/or equivalent years of experience preferred.   
  • 7+ years of experience in inventory or merchandise planning, allocation, supply chain planning, inventory management and/or financial planning and analysis.  
  • 3+ years of people management experience.  
  • Proficient with forecasting methodologies and statistical modeling.  
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills - concisely presents complex information and recommendations to all levels throughout the organization.  
  • High level of computer literacy, including extensive experience within Microsoft Excel.  
  • Analytical thinker and self-motivated problem solver.  
  • Adapts to situational demands, flexible and capable of managing competing priorities.  
  • Impeccable organizational skills, ability to multitask.  
  • Extremely detail-oriented.  
  • Able to thrive in ambiguity.  
  • Highly collaborative team player.

The salary range for this role is $117,000 per year - $151,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
