The Off Premise Sales Apprentice role is an entry-level position into our sales organization that allows an associate to prepare for a Sales Representative role at United. The position involves running vacation routes for Sales Representatives, performing sales deliveries to accounts, merchandising and building displays in accounts, managing and rotating inventory in accounts, and building relationships with both accounts and various departments of United. This position is perfect for a self-motivated, competitive individual who thrives in situations requiring a high level of collaboration, organization, interpersonal skills, and creativity.

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • High school or vocational school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred
  • Ability to secure and maintain a State Alcohol Sales Permit in accordance with state laws
  • Valid driver's license in the applicable state
  • State minimum auto-liability insurance
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to maintain these minimum administrative driving requirements throughout employment

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales team members to train and understand all facets of the United sales representative role
  • Drive to all call points
  • Perform sales deliveries to accounts
  • Run vacation routes for sales representatives
  • Sell new products or programs
  • Utilize Encompass to bill orders
  • Build displays in accounts
  • Merchandise accounts using point of sale material
  • Work back stock, shelf space, and cold boxes in accounts to ensure product rotation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with account management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within United with delivery associates, sales representatives, and sales management to work as a team
