Knoxville Beverage Company is the largest wine and spirits distributor in the region. Our vision for the future is to continue to seek premium brands while recognizing a need for value in the marketplace.
We are seeking a Sales Support Representative to support our customers and sales representatives. The rep will also help grow our customer base. The position is expected to progress into a Sales Representative role as route opportunities open up.
Pay Rate - $24 / hour
Full-Time
Duties include:
• Covers existing sales routes when assigned Sale Representatives are off from work
• Services existing accounts and obtains orders by planning and organizing daily work schedule to accommodate buyer's schedules and geographical restrictions
• Provides on and off premise customers with exceptional customer service and extensive product knowledge
• Help open new accounts and promote Knoxville Beverage's products throughout Knoxville Beverage's territory
• Works with customer's staff to build product knowledge and further wine and spirits education
• Spends up to 25% of the time working with merchandising team building displays and installing vinyl graphics
• Attends promotions, hosts tastings and wine dinners, and participates in supplier market visits
• Works as a team with Knoxville Beverage Sales Representatives
• Adjusts content of sales presentations to meet account's needs and expectations
• Completes product placement, pre-selling, and product planning
• Territory served: East Tennessee
• Comprehends and operates under Tennessee state & local laws, rules & regulations that pertain to alcohol sales
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Sales, grocery, or restaurant experience required
• Valid Driver's License with ability to meet company driving history requirements
• Auto Insurance Requirements - 500k/500k/100k Split Limits or 500k Combined Single Limit
• Ability to obtain State of Tennessee ABC Wholesalers Representative permit
• Drug and background checks required
• Occasional night and weekend availability required
• Some college preferred
• Ability to lift & stack cases averaging 40 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and use basic hand tools
