Job Title: Field Sales Representative

Department: Sales

Location: 85% On the Road, 15% Onsite

Reports To: Retail Sales Manager

Pay: $22 per hour plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for building strong relationships with retail partners, increasing brand awareness, and driving product sell-through across assigned territories. This role involves in-person visits to stores, client communication, and supporting marketing and merchandising efforts. The Field Sales Rep plays a vital role in representing Safa Goods and partner brands with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Travel to retail stores and assigned accounts within the territory to promote and sell Safa Goods products
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, buyers, and staff
  • Conduct product education, present promotions, and assist with merchandising and displays
  • Monitor in-store inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to internal teams
  • Track sales performance and account activity, submitting regular field reports
  • Open new business opportunities and assist in onboarding new retail accounts
  • Research and plan daily routes to maximize efficiency and coverage based on account needs and sales goals
  • Provide insight on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
  • Maintain a professional, positive, and proactive presence while on the road
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Retail sales experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a route sales role
  • Sales ability with an assertive, positive, and persistent style
  • Ability to self-source leads through networking and research
  • Ability to work independently and manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload
  • Valid and current driver’s license
  • Must be at least 25 years of age to meet company vehicle insurance requirements and product handling policies

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry sample cases or product boxes up to 60 lbs
  • Frequent driving, entering/exiting vehicle, and walking into multiple retail stores per day
  • Regular standing, bending, and reaching to merchandise or display product
  • Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain, while traveling between stores and accessing store locations
  • Extended periods of sitting while driving between locations

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Standard hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed based on business operations
  • Overtime as needed; weekends as needed
  • This position is classified as non-exempt, meaning you are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with company policy and applicable law
