Summary of Responsibilities

This contract position will lead the ADP Workforce Now implementation project across multiple employer entities for hourly, salary, union, non-union, prevailing wage, and tipped employees. The consultant will serve as the project subject matter expert, partnering closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, Finance, and IT teams to ensure a seamless implementation, data migration, testing, training, and go-live experience.

Essential Project Functions

Project Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and manage the overall implementation project plan, timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary consultant and advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings, status updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate activities between internal stakeholders and the ADP implementation team.

HRIS & Payroll Configuration

  • Review and validate system requirements and business processes.
  • Configure and optimize ADP Workforce Now modules, including:
    • Core HR
    • Payroll (including General Ledger)
    • Benefits Administration
    • Time & Attendance
    • Recruiting
    • Performance Management
    • Expenses
  • Recommend best practices and process improvements leveraging ADP functionality.

Data Migration

  • Lead the data conversion strategy from Paycom to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Validate employee, payroll, benefits, accruals, historical, and reporting data.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance throughout migration activities.
  • Develop and execute reconciliation procedures.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Create comprehensive testing plans and scripts.
  • Coordinate system integration testing, parallel payroll testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify and resolve configuration and data issues prior to go-live.
  • Document test results and remediation activities.

Training & Change Management

  • Develop administrator and end-user training materials.
  • Conduct training sessions for HR, Payroll, managers, and employees.
  • Assist with employee communication strategies and change management efforts.
  • Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure implementation aligns with federal, state, and local payroll and employment regulations.
  • Review payroll tax setup, earnings, deductions, and accrual configurations.
  • Develop and validate reports, dashboards, and analytics requirements.
Qualifications / Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Human Resources, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of ADP Workforce Now implementation experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading full-cycle HRIS and payroll implementations.
  • Experience migrating from Paycom or a comparable HCM platform preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing, benefits administration, time and attendance systems, HRIS configuration and reporting.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to travel to company location(s) as project needs warrant.
