Dedicated to creating opportunities to transform lives within the City of Paterson's Great Falls Neighborhood, New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) is a private, non-profit community development and social service agency focusing on education, youth development, affordable and supportive housing, and community building initiatives.

Founded in 1994 by Bob Guarasci with one other employee, NJCDC has grown into a $19 million agency, employing 150 individuals that serve over 4,000 children, teens, and families daily.

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team! You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts
  • Maintain personnel records, in compliance with HR regulations
  • Compile reports from personnel databases
  • Review and update HR information system records
  • Enforce company policies, rules and regulations
  • Communicate all relevant information to employees and job applicants

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Human Resources
  • General knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
