Work Setting: Hybrid schedule in Duluth, GA — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote

Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000 base salary

Bonus: Discretionary annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance

Position Summary

A growing, acquisition-focused services organization is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join its Corporate Accounting team. This role will support weekly multi-state payroll processing for a diverse workforce while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional internal customer service.

This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven position where payroll is processed every week. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and enjoys solving payroll challenges while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly multi-state payroll accurately and on time

• Support union payroll processing and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements

• Audit timecards, resolve discrepancies, and validate payroll data prior to processing

• Process payroll adjustments including retroactive payments, manual checks, direct deposits, stop payments, and replacement checks

• Review unemployment claims, payroll audits, PTO requests, and payroll reporting

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

• Reconcile payroll data, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll-related issues

• Partner with employees, managers, and the payroll team to provide outstanding customer service and timely payroll support

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll administration experience

• Experience processing multi-state payroll

• Weekly payroll processing experience strongly preferred

• Union payroll experience highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and wage and hour compliance

• Experience auditing timecards and resolving payroll discrepancies

• Advanced attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills

Preferred Backgrounds

• ADP Workforce Now experience

• Multi-state payroll tax experience

• Union payroll and collective bargaining agreement (CBA) administration

• High-volume payroll environments supporting distributed or field-based workforces

• Construction, staffing, event services, logistics, facilities, or project-based organizations

• Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, Payroll Coordinator, or Payroll Analyst backgrounds
