Our client is a well-established organization seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a high-volume accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys maintaining accuracy while managing multiple priorities.

Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor account maintenance, payment coordination, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have experience with NetSuite and a strong understanding of accounts payable best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices, internal expenses, and recurring bills accurately within NetSuite.
  • Verify invoices by matching purchase orders, receipts, and billing documentation before processing payments.
  • Manage the complete accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt through payment processing.
  • Maintain vendor records, including new vendor setup and updates to existing accounts.
  • Review vendor agreements to ensure payment terms and billing requirements are followed.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the accounts payable inbox in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Partner with vendors and internal departments to address payment questions and invoice concerns.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounts payable reporting as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Accounts Payable experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required.
  • Knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processes, including three-way matching.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.
