Location: Diamond Bar, CA

Business Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00AM-6:00PM

Ono Hawaiian uses the freshest ingredients, prepared from scratch daily in each restaurant and grilled fresh to order. With locations in California and Arizona, we aim to combine the culture and “Aloha” spirit of Hawaii into our restaurants to bring a taste of the islands with exceptional service in an inviting atmosphere.

Job Overview: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing Financial Statement and related tasks in accounting department. Our Accounting Department processes a high volume of transactions for multiple-store and holdings entities. Ono Hawaiian BBQ would like a person who is proactive, experience, detail-oriented, deadline driven, multi-tasking and a high level of accuracy in the matter of reviewing and processing financial reports for each location.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Upload positive pay and ACH payment file
  • Download bank activity and statement
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and daily cash flow projection
  • Prepare outstanding check list for clean up
  • Research and provide check cleared copy
  • Research and posting for coin orders
  • Perform stop payment request
  • Prepare monthly Financial Statement for all companies
  • Analyze revenue and expense current vs prior month or year
  • Preparation and posting of inventory change report
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Review general ledger and ensure accuracy of GL coding
  • Prepare food cost worksheet and reconciliation
  • Prepare insurance allocation and amortization
  • Prepare bank and expense worksheets for quarterly closing verification
  • Review of sales tax report
  • Posting of equity earnings and calculate monthly dividends for distribution
  • Prepare form 1099 and 571 business property tax
  • Review of tax return and AJE Posting
  • Generate financial statements for all other holding companies
  • Prepare monthly sales comparison and analysis
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company

Qualifications/Education:

  • Accounting Degree
  • Minimum 3 Year minimum of accounting experience (AR, AP and Financial experience)
  • Advanced Excel Skills: V-look up, Pivot tables.
