SUMMARY:
We're looking for dynamic Account Advisor with a proven ability to solve complex problems and who are hungry for growth, change and strive for excellence. The ideal Account Advisor is highly strategic, diverse in capabilities and interest.
In this role, you will have ownership over the planning, project management, creation, and maintenance of the client relationship and the solutions need to enhance and optimize client success and workforce readiness. You will manage all aspects of the client engagement process to ensure it is telling a story that aligns with the financial goals of employers, employees, and our company.
The ideal candidate will be a true advocate of the growth of the business while also being high touch and hands on with the client. A requirement of analytical and mathematical aptitude is key. This position requires a consultative approach to customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who can manage the client's needs strategically and offer recommendations. We are high performing producers not order takers, we need people who thrive under pressure and chaos and who can work collectively to improve processes, procedures to ensure a high level of execution.
We are looking for a go getter, team member who understand the balance of getting it done while consulting and managing clients in achieving success. Though, our preference is for those who have a depth of knowledge in benefits management, administration, and financial planning. We are willing to train highly technical folks on the strategic aspects of the benefit strategy coupled with the financial positioning we offer for our clients and their employees. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be resourceful, able to figure things out with little guidance, high level problem solver and dynamic in their approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Managing the needs and expectations of the client in a proactive manner
  • Managing the renewal process
  • Create and preserve client online enrollment and communications websites with regards to plan designs, plan specific eligibility rules, employer specific rules, class structure, rates, payroll deductions, enrollment rules, EDI feed setup, and system auditing and testing.
  • Educating support team to ensure correct and efficient administration of the benefit offerings
  • Travel to client locations to facilitate educational meetings to explain benefit offerings, provide consistent new hire messaging and provide open enrollment assistance and coordinating with Benefit teams to ensure proper coverage for required education meetings and enrollments.
  • Designs and produces materials for client presentations and meetings
  • Keeps client appraised of compliance issues and changes that may affect the clients' benefits
  • Responds to client inquiries and maintain documentation of issues and resolutions and provide ongoing support to the client.
  • Analyze and interpret claims experience to the client to indicate issues and determine ways to circumvent and mitigate the risk
  • Participate and facilitate finalist presentations and conduct site tours for prospective clients. • Sending requests for proposals to carriers
  • Analyzing carrier proposals and negotiating a program renewal business
  • Preparation of spreadsheets of recommended plan designs and rates

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma with 5-7 years successful benefits related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have organizational and problem-solving skills; have excellent client relationship; possess strong customer service orientation skills and be results driven.
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and dependability.
  • Must have knowledge of employee benefits options and possess appropriate insurance licensing.
  • Experience with MS Office with intermediate/advanced skills with MS Excel, or equivalent programs, and a working knowledge of employee benefits administration software applications.
  • Must be able to obtain insurance license.
