Job description

ROLE SUMMARY: As a Online Testing Coordinator at BJU Press, the ideal candidate will play a supporting role on the Testing Services team by administering online standardized tests. This includes setup and assisting customers through the online testing experience which requires building an in-depth knowledge of the testing platform. Other office duties include providing general customer service and preparing test booklets for reuse.

About the Team: The Testing Services team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by helping home school families and schools maintain compliance with state regulations by providing objective measurements of academic achievement to inform educators of student growth through standardized testing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide general customer support via phone and email
  • Help with general office duties
  • Setup Online Testing, data entry tasks
  • Administer Online Testing including monitoring test sessions, and communication with remote proctors
  • Inspect and restore test booklets to reusable condition

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
  • Detail-oriented

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and able to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong ability to prioritize and organize tasks
  • Capable of instructing customers via phone and email
  • High level of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks
  • Team player with a willingness to take on various tasks
  • Physically able to occasionally bend, lift, reach above shoulder, squat, kneel, stand, and walk

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Training or experience in education and/or homeschooling beneficial
