Job description

General Overview
Telemetry & Communications Systems, Inc. (TCS) a subsidiary of Delta Information Systems, Inc., designs and manufactures advanced tracking antenna systems for the telemetry, communications, and intelligence markets. As a recognized global leader, TCS supports customers worldwide with a strong commitment to precision, reliability, and innovation. As the company continues to grow, TCS is looking to add an Electrical Assembler to the team.
This position is to be filled onsite in Chatsworth, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.
Job Overview
This is a hands-on role focused on assembling, soldering, inspecting, and supporting the production of electrical assemblies. You'll be responsible for building wire harnesses, soldering components onto PCBs, inspecting finished work, and helping troubleshoot assembly issues. Working closely with the quality control and assembly teams, you'll help ensure products meet specifications, schedules, and quality standards. This is a great fit for someone with strong attention to detail, solid organization skills, and experience working with electronic components and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble wire harnesses using wires, crimps, connectors and other components, while following drawings and or verbal direction
  • Solder components onto PCBs using hand soldering techniques and equipment
  • After assembling, Inspect assembled wire harnesses and PCBs for defects, damage, or non-conformance to specifications
  • Identify and report any defects, issues or shortages with materials, tools or processes to supervisor
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot any assembly issues
  • Accurately and efficiently input time spent on various tasks and projects into Costpoint's daily time tracking system to ensure accurate billing and project management
  • Meet productivity and quality targets while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Assist in the maintenance of Finished Goods and Purchased Inventory
  • Maintain lot to lot line clearance of jobs in process.
  • Assist EA Lead on assembly completion schedule.
  • Flexibility and ability in multitasking multiple Manufacturing Orders.
  • Provide regular status updates on Manufacturing Orders to EA Lead and Operations Manager
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Assembly Mechanics team to install/ integrate Electrical Assemblies onto Antenna Hardware Assemblies in situation.

Qualifications
  • 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • IPC-620 and/ or IPC-610 certification
  • J-STD-001 certification
  • Exceptional skills in time management and organization
  • Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position will be working directly on a contract with the U.S. Government which requires all employees performing these functions to be U.S. Citizens.

Compensation
  • Salary Range: $52,000 - $58,000 (based on experience)
