Job Description:

We are seeking motivated individuals to join our slurry seal and crackseal crews. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of slurry seal projects. This position requires a diverse skill set and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles and heavy machinery used in the slurry seal process, including CDL trucks and loaders.
  • Safely transport materials to and from work sites, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
  • Operate brooms to clean surfaces before sealing or sweep away excess materials during the process.
  • Assist with various tasks such as preparing surfaces, moving materials, and performing manual labor as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Manage traffic flow and ensure safety in work zones as a Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), including coordinating with flaggers and directing vehicles as necessary.
  • Control the flow of traffic through work zones by signaling drivers with flags or other signals to ensure safety.

Requirements

  • Two years’ experience as a laborer, slurry/asphalt experience preferred.
  • Able to work 60+ hours per week.
  • TCS Card strongly preferred.
  • Verifiable professional and personal references
  • Own transportation to and from shop
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English -- bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record for CDL drivers.

  • Must be a self-starter and team player who is motivated, reliable, and accountable.
  • Must be able to take and follow direction and have strong communication skills.
  • Must be trustworthy and honest.
  • Must be 100% compliant of all safety requirements and policies.

In January 2009, A-One Chipseal purchased the assets of Rocky Mountain Pavement Maintenance, Inc. and in September 2022, we purchased the assets of Rocky Mountain Parking Lot Services, Inc. We provide preventive maintenance construction including resurfacing asphalt streets, roads, parking lots and highways and have completed numerous diverse projects for various cities, counties and CDOT across the Front Range.
