Now Hiring: Director of Hotel Finance & Accounting

Gulf Shores, AL | Hospitality · Hotel Portfolio | Full Time · Exempt


A&R Group is seeking an experienced Director of Hotel Finance & Accounting to lead financial operations across our multi‑property hotel portfolio. This senior role is ideal for a hospitality finance leader with deep experience in hotel accounting, financial reporting, USALI, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and multi‑property financial management.


What You’ll Lead:


Hotel Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

  • Oversee all hotel accounting functions: general ledger, AP, AR, cash management
  • Lead month‑end and year‑end close for multiple hotel properties
  • Review trial balances, balance sheet reconciliations, and property‑level financials
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and REIT reporting standards


Strategic Finance, Budgeting & Cash Flow

  • Lead the annual hotel budgeting process with GMs and senior leadership
  • Manage corporate cash flow, liquidity forecasting, and debt service planning
  • Analyze RevPAR, ADR, Occupancy, Flow‑through, and operational trends
  • Develop and maintain CapEx plans, reserves, and long‑range financial models


Internal Controls, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Design and audit internal control systems across all hotel properties
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, franchise agreements, and management contracts
  • Coordinate external audits, banking relationships, and tax filings
  • Manage debt covenant reporting and financial compliance for financed assets


Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Train and support Hotel GMs on P&L management and financial literacy
  • Lead and mentor the corporate accounting team
  • Support investor relations, acquisitions, and due diligence


What We’re Looking For


Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required
  • MBA or Master’s in Accountancy preferred
  • CPA or CHAE strongly preferred


Technical Expertise

  • Expert knowledge of USALI (Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry)
  • Experience with hospitality ERP systems and Property Management Systems (PMS)
  • Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, macros, financial modeling


Additional Requirements

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Gulf Shores, AL
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
