                             2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Overall Goal of Position:

Be an integral part of keeping our products moving and making sure customers receive the right products on time.

2nd Shift (5:00 pm – 3:30 am Monday –Friday) *Weekends as needed

Job Summary

The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations during the evening shift, ensuring safety, productivity, accuracy, and team performance. This role leads a team of warehouse associates in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment while maintaining compliance with company policies and operational standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities on 2nd shift
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates
    • Monitor productivity, accuracy, and quality standards
    • Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping
    • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper procedures
    • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines
    • Investigate and report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns
    • Manage staffing levels, schedules, and shift coverage
    • Train new hires and provide ongoing team development
    • Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments for continuity
    • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency
    • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, scanners, etc.)

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. College degree preferred.
    • 2-5 years of warehouse experience, with 1-2 years in supervisory role.
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations (shipping, receiving, inventory).
    • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
  • Other:
    • Frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach and grasp with hands and arms. 
    • Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. 
    • Comfortable working in warehouse conditions (temperature variations, noise, etc.)
    • Operation and provide training on various types of forklifts and PIT’s as needed.
