Are you an experienced logistics professional with a background in food distribution, warehousing, or supply chain operations? We are seeking a Logistics Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a team of associates, and ensure the efficient movement of products throughout our food distribution center.


Job Summary

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising inbound and outbound warehouse operations while maintaining food safety, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency. This role will lead warehouse employees, monitor productivity, and ensure compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily warehouse and logistics operations in a food distribution center.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse associates to achieve productivity and quality goals.
  • Coordinate inbound receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and outbound shipping.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Schedule staff and assign daily workloads based on operational needs.
  • Work closely with transportation, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipments.
  • Conduct routine safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.
  • Assist with employee training, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and operational reports.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or food distribution environment.
  • Experience supervising teams in a high-volume distribution center.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and food safety regulations.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Preferred Experience
  • Food distribution center or cold storage experience.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Continuous improvement or Lean warehouse experience.
  • Forklift certification or experience working around powered industrial equipment.
