Clayton Services is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead to join a growing manufacturing company in the Cypress area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable warehouse professional who enjoys leading by example and wants to grow into a supervisory role.
The Warehouse Team Lead will assist with shipping, receiving, inventory movement, warehouse organization, and daily operations while serving as a trusted resource for the warehouse team. This position offers significant opportunities for advancement for someone who demonstrates leadership, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $26.00/hour

Warehouse Team Lead Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and inventory
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments accurately
- Load and unload materials using a forklift
- Assist with inventory control and warehouse organization
- Operate hand tools and safely handle industrial components
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation
- Utilize computer systems, including Microsoft Excel and ERP software, to track inventory and warehouse activity
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse
- Support warehouse maintenance and daily operational needs
- Work closely with warehouse leadership to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Lead by example while helping train and support other warehouse team members
- Take initiative and assume additional responsibilities as business needs grow
Warehouse Team Lead Skills and Abilities:
- Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, or material handling experience
- Forklift experience preferred
- Strong leadership potential with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle is a plus
- Ability to follow directions while working independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials throughout the workday
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Warehouse Team Lead Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift certification or experience preferred
- Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is highly desirable
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus but not required for candidates with strong leadership potential
