General Job Summary

The Warehouse Team Lead oversees daily warehouse operations to ensure products are received, stored, and shipped safely, accurately, and efficiently. This role leads and develops warehouse team members, promotes a culture of safety and accountability, and ensure operational goals and service level expectations are consistently met. By monitoring performance, improving processes, and collaborating across departments, the Warehouse Team Lead plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the company's operational success.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of all warehouse activities including but not limited to; shipping, receiving, stocking, and order pulling.
  • Maintain a personnel structure and adequate staffing level so warehouse, shipping and receiving is conducted in an effective and efficient manner by meeting or exceeding SLAs.
  • Interview and recommend operational applicants for hire.
  • Plan and coordinate work, train and motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of warehouse team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to/from storage configurations; counsel, record, and discipline as necessary.
  • Develop crew leaders to oversee the daily routines of their assigned staff.
  • Maintain an equipment structure and level to accomplish the warehouse operational duties in a safe, effective manner.
  • Provide appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
  • Monitor the unloading of all materials into the receiving department; ensure materials are staged for counting and inspection.
  • Ensure accuracy is maintained in all operational activities.
  • Resolve discrepancies regarding invoices, packing slips, receiver reports and sales orders.
  • Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry. Oversee the movement of material from receiving to the warehouse in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
  • Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures. Oversee the rotation of inventories within the warehouse.
  • Operate machinery and equipment while adhering to safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, steel-toed boots, safety hat, and gloves-Cut level 3 (A3).
  • Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
  • Provide direction and assistance to warehouse team members.
  • Lead by example. Collaborate and communicate effectively with company management and team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Respect confidentiality in discussing internal business matters including, without limitation, team member compensation, performance and discipline.
  • Participate in job-related training and continuing education.
  • Participate in fostering an organizational culture that values innovation, promotes inclusion, and inspires excellence in the work environment.
  • Maintain punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information including, without limitation, operations methods, customer information and sales data.
  • Complete projects and assignments on time.
  • Analyze and execute on KPIs established by Executive Management

  • Able to work before and after regular business hours and weekends, as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: $31.00 - $36.05 per hour, plus annual discretionary bonus based on performance
