Job description

We are looking for a dedicated picking lead who will support the picking department staff and ensure an efficient level of performance is met to achieve key departmental targets.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with picking orders in accordance with location and SLA.
  • Plan and prioritize picking activities to meet daily, weekly, and monthly order
  • fulfillment targets.
  • Assign picking tasks to team members across various order channels, monitoring
  • progress, and adjusting workloads as needed to meet productivity goals.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the picking team and provide guidance and support to ensure high performance and productivity levels.
  • Communicate the status of operations to management.
  • Provide updates on any safety and/or workflow or staffing problems.
  • Inspect all stock for damages and keep records of damages.
  • Assist with housekeeping and organization responsibilities for the work area.
  • Provide coaching on work improvement to staff needing help with productivity.
  • Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities,
  • targets, and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • One to two years of related warehouse experience is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Basic English proficiency is required.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to work overtime as business needs dictates.

Physical Requirements

  • Work regularly to lift and/or move objects 10-30 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time including stair climbing

frequent bending, stooping, squatting and kneeling are required to retrieve and stock products at various heights.

  • May be required to climb ladders or stairs to access products stored on higher shelves.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks, such as packing, sorting, or labeling, with efficiency and attention to detail.ย 
  • Must be able to tolerate fluctuations in facility temperatures
  • Must be able to tolerate an occasional high noise volume environment that includes speakers, fans, moving racks and conveyor belts.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $20.92/hr - $21.92/hr
