Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and plant logistics operations supporting manufacturing activities. This position oversees inbound receiving, raw material storage, production material supply, inventory control, finished goods warehousing, outbound shipping, workforce management, warehouse systems, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role ensures uninterrupted material flow to production, accurate inventory management, compliance with company policies and EHS regulations, and achievement of operational KPIs. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Transportation, Maintenance, and Headquarters to support efficient manufacturing operations.



Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Plant Logistics Operations

  • Lead and supervise daily warehouse operations including inbound receiving, put-away, storage, production staging, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and finished goods handling
  • Ensure uninterrupted material flow between warehouse and production lines to prevent production downtime
  • Develop daily operational plans based on production schedules and shipment volume
  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with company SOPs and customer requirements
  • Monitor warehouse capacity and optimize storage utilization and warehouse layout
  • Ensure all customer orders and production requests are completed accurately and on time
  • Perform final operational checks prior to shipment to ensure shipping accuracy


Inventory Management & Material Control

  • Support monthly inventory closing and financial audits by ensuring inventory accuracy and timely reconciliation
  • Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts, physical inventories, and system reconciliation
  • Ensure full material traceability by managing lot control, batch tracking, and inventory transactions in accordance with quality and customer requirements
  • Manage raw materials, packaging materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory
  • Ensure accurate inventory transactions within WMS and ERP systems
  • Maintain warehouse location control and material traceability
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory practices where applicable
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, shipment errors, and damaged materials through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Monitor inventory aging and obsolete inventory


Production Logistics Support

  • Coordinate material replenishment to production lines according to manufacturing schedule
  • Collaborate with Production Planning to ensure timely availability of materials
  • Manage finished goods transfers from production to warehouse
  • Support production start-ups, shutdowns, inventory reconciliation, and physical inventory activities
  • Coordinate urgent material movements to support production priorities



Warehouse Systems & Documentation

  • Manage warehouse operations utilizing WMS and ERP systems
  • Ensure timely and accurate system transactions for all warehouse activities
  • Maintain inventory master data and warehouse location information
  • Coordinate with IT and HQ to resolve system issues and support system enhancements
  • Maintain shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, inventory records, receiving documents, and operational reports in accordance with company policies


Team Leadership & Workforce Management

  • Lead warehouse supervisors, operators, forklift drivers, temporary employees, and third-party logistics personnel
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse employees
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and labor utilization
  • Develop staffing plans based on production and shipment requirements
  • Establish cross-training and contingency plans to ensure operational continuity
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement


KPI Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor warehouse KPIs including - Inventory Accuracy, OTIF (On Time In Full), Warehouse Productivity, Dock-to-Stock Time, Order Accuracy, Labor Efficiency, Loading & Unloading Turnaround Time, Space Utilization, Safety Performance
  • Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Lead Lean, Kaizen, and process optimization initiatives
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational excellence
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports to management and headquarters


Safety, Compliance & Facility Management

  • Lead OSHA compliance initiatives, monitor regulatory changes, and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant workplace
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and warehouse audits
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when applicable
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping through 5S principles
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment, forklifts, racking systems, and material handling equipment are properly maintained and inspected
  • Ensure warehouse security and regulatory compliance


Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Maintenance, Transportation, Customer Service, and Headquarters
  • Communicate operational issues and escalation items promptly to management
  • Support customer visits, internal audits, and external compliance audits
  • Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely inbound and outbound deliveries



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of warehouse or plant logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of warehouse leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations with production material flow
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material handling
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, warehouse safety regulations, and EHS requirements
  • Hands-on experience with WMS and ERP systems (SAP experience pr

  • Experience in battery, cathode materials, chemicals, automotive, semiconductor, or other manufacturing industries
  • Experience supporting plant start-up or warehouse setup projects
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen experience
  • Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • SAP WM, WMS, or similar warehouse management systems
  • Business-level Korean proficiency preferred
