Job description

Travel Registered Nurse (RN) CVOR

Shift: Nights — 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (Friday & Saturday nights plus one weekday night)

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years overall OR experience
  • At least 2 years dedicated cardiac and vascular experience (includes transplant experience)
  • Minimum 1 year CVOR experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a Level I Trauma facility
  • Registered Nurse license required
  • BLS certification required at time of submission
  • ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
  • Experience with EPIC charting system

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring safety and effectiveness of procedures.
  • Assist in surgeries including CABG, valve procedures, AAA repairs, and endovascular procedures.
  • Monitor patient vitals and manage anesthesia during operations.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to implement best practices and improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding pre and post-operative care.
  • Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

  • Fingerprinting required promptly after booking.
  • COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only).
