Job description

Adam Search Group has a tremendous opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist to support our client's sales team and customers across multiple product lines, with a primary focus on fire protection products and equipment. This role serves as a critical link between customers, manufacturers, and the sales team by processing orders, preparing project documentation, and providing product support throughout the sales cycle.

This is an office-based position focused on customer service, order management, project support, and technical documentation. There is no cold calling, business development, or commission-based selling involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the sales team with project-related documentation, including submittal packages, shop drawings, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Process customer orders and coordinate with manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Provide inside support for fire protection product lines, including hose valves, specialty valves, hose reel cabinets, and related equipment.
  • Assist sprinkler contractors and other customers with product selection, pricing, availability, and order placement.
  • Manage parts sales and replacement component requests across multiple product lines.
  • Prepare quotes and maintain accurate pricing information.
  • Coordinate project documentation and communicate updates with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.
  • Serve as a resource for customers and sales representatives regarding product information and order status.
  • Support additional administrative and operational functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a plumbing supply house, mechanical contractor environment, fire protection industry, or related construction products industry preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with technical product information and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting sprinkler contractors or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with valves, protection equipment, mechanical systems, or commercial construction products.
  • Experience preparing submittals, O&M manuals, or project documentation.
  • Prior inside sales support, customer service, order processing, or project coordination experience.

Schedule

  • Full-time, in-office position
  • Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
