GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a professional who completes the administrative duties for the HR Department and provides administrative support to the Leadership Team. To ensure success, this employee will be experienced in handling confidential information and keeping sensitive business and personnel matters private. This position could be 30 hours per week based on candidate preference.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and process payroll in conjunction with outside payroll services.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by managing job postings, identifying candidates, performing reference and background checks, and conducting interviews.
  • Perform new hire onboarding and orientation through processing and completion of appropriate paperwork.
  • Administer company benefit plans by completing appropriate paperwork, updating information and payment of premiums.
  • Updating and maintaining process paperwork and employment records
  • Motivate employees through engagement activities and programs.
  • Develops promotion and publicity plans for wellness, fitness, and nutrition programs including providing access to healthy snacks.
  • Maintains employee personnel files in an organized and secure manner.
  • Manage the offboarding process by completing the required paperwork and system updates in a timely manner.
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Intermediate Excel skills such as spreadsheet formatting, working knowledge of formulas and functions, and data analytics.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in an HR related Position or as an Administrative Assistant or similar support
  • Familiarity with payroll concepts and processes.
  • Fantastic organizational skills and time management skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong decision making and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
