Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations questions and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist managers with employee relations matters, including coaching, conflict resolution, performance discussions, and workplace investigations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation related to disciplinary actions, performance concerns, and employment changes.
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
  • Support the full recruitment process by posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with hiring managers.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employee paperwork to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Track and maintain HR metrics related to recruiting, turnover, employee relations, and onboarding.
  • Assist with performance review administration and employee development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Conduct employee investigations related to workplace concerns, policy violations, and employee complaints, documenting findings and recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between employees, managers, and the payroll department, resolving payroll inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Review and submit payroll changes and ensure the accuracy of employee pay records before payroll processing.
  • Maintain confidential payroll records and collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee benefits, assisting with enrollments, eligibility, life event changes, and benefit-related questions.
  • Coordinate with benefit providers to resolve coverage and claims issues while maintaining accurate employee benefits records.
  • Support annual open enrollment and educate employees on available benefit programs and enrollment procedures.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience, with demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a fast-paced or multi-site environment.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
  • Experience with performance management and employee engagement programs.
