General Laborer

Shift: 4:30pm-3am Monday-Friday and Some Saturdays- $17 per hour

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our production team. The Press Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to ensure efficient and high-quality production of printed materials.

Responsibilities:

• Set up printing presses according to job specifications, including adjusting settings, loading paper, and installing ink cartridges.
• Monitor press operations to ensure proper alignment, registration, and color density.
• Make adjustments to press settings as needed to maintain quality and consistency throughout the production run.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning rollers, replacing worn parts, and lubricating machinery, to ensure optimal performance of printing presses.
• Troubleshoot issues that arise during production, such as paper jams, mechanical malfunctions, or quality defects, and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with other team members, such as prepress technicians and bindery operators, to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of jobs.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating printing presses in a commercial printing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of printing techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, specifications, and production schedules.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
