Storage And Backup Administrator - 1905208

Mount Indie is looking for aStorage and Backup Administrator. You will join the MSIC IT Team in protecting our customers critical information by ensuring proper operation of storage and backup systems. You will manage multiple petabytes of storage to maximize information availability and integrity. In addition, you will be an integral part of architecting and deploying cutting-edge, high-performance storage and backup systems.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Conduct root-cause analyses of service interruptions and set up preventive measures.
• Perform storage administration tasks such as data and volume management, managing user/group, security permissions, group policies, storage networking, and scheduling backups.
• Create, update, and support documentation of guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls.
• Monitor storage health using existing management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
• Architect, implement, and maintain storage and backup solutions that meet customer needs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field or equivalent experience
• 0 to 8years of related experience
• ActiveDoD Secret Clearancewith eligibility for a TS//SCI andCounterintelligence(CI) ScopePolygraphwithin 180 days of hire.
• Certified at DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent).
• Enterprise and data center storage management (DDN,NetApp,Quantum,Spectra Logic,NAS,SAN,GPFS,NFS,CIFS,Lustre).
• Hardware troubleshooting (Power,Mainboard,CPUs,PCIe,RAM,Local Storage,Network).
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoDTS//SCIandCIScope Polygraph.
• Linux workstation and/or server operating system administration (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9).
• Windows workstation and/or server operating system administration (Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2019/2022).
• Programming/scripting in high-level languages (C, C++, Perl, Python, Bash, PowerShell).
