Job description

Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Position is contingent upon contract award and funding.

Entarian is seeking an experienced Storage / Backup Administrator who works closely with systems engineers, software developers, architects, and government stakeholders to engineer secure, resilient solutions that support mission objectives while balancing security, performance, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in large-scale technical environments involving space systems, ground infrastructure, mission operations, communications networks, or enterprise IT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Work with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for the program and its customers
  • Assist with implementing new system Hardware and Software and provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed
  • Be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the systems and providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed
  • Ability to recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment

Salary range: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology,ย Computerย Science,ย Engineering, or related technical discipline.ย (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
  • Minimum five (5) years of Storage/ Back up Administration experience with a combination of:
    • Design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems
    • Maintaining storage and network policies and standards
    • Refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff
    • Creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
    • MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments
    • Administering applicable storage networks
  • Good technical communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities.ย
