POSITION TITLE: Jr. IT Systems Administrator
LOCATION: Cambridge, MA (hybrid)
This position reports to our global HQ in Cambridge, MA and is hybrid with 2-3 days onsite. Travel is expected domestically and internationally when needed.

Who We Are Looking For:
TriNetX is looking for an experienced and motivated Jr. IT Systems Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, globally connected environment and takes pride in keeping systems running smoothly and securely. You are someone who communicates well, documents diligently, and genuinely enjoys collaborating with teammates across time zones - including our colleagues on the US West Coast and in Japan. You bring a proactive mindset, a willingness to support at every level, and a curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI tools like Claude and CoPilot.
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Provide Level 1-3 IT support, with a primary focus on Level 2 and Level 3 ticket escalations and IT projects
  • Administer business systems across a SaaS environment, including vendor management and software licensing
  • Troubleshoot computers and devices, resolving issues efficiently and escalating as appropriate
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID, including provisioning new devices, virtual workspaces, and user accounts
  • Administer Group Policy and endpoint configuration management across the organization
  • Support network fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, and VPN
  • Oversee identity and access management (IAM), including MFA and SSO administration
  • Administer cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS
  • Monitor systems, configure alerting, and perform performance tuning to ensure reliability and uptime
  • Develop scripts and automation to streamline and improve administrative tasks
  • Work within ITSM and Jira platforms to track, manage, and resolve support tickets
  • Collaborate as part of a global IT team, providing support to colleagues on the US West Coast and in Japan as needed
  • Maintain clear and thorough documentation in support of IT processes and procedures

What You Bring to TriNetX:
  • Bachelor's or equivalent education in Information Technology related field. (Computer Information Systems or Network Engineering preferred.)
  • 2-4 years of prior work experience with System administration
  • Experience integrating API's between applications
  • Experience supporting Mac and Windows devices
  • Experience with Jira, ITSM's, Microsoft AD and Microsoft Intune
  • Experience with IT Network Systems and concepts
  • Experience working in a corporate environment
  • Experience working with and supporting global teams
  • Experience working with or supporting AI tools (Claude, CoPilot, OpenAI)

Preferred
  • Familiarity with SAAS environments
  • Familiarity with AWS, Datablend or Azure
  • A+ or Network+
  • Familiarity with Linux
