Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director - Advanced Analytics to join our data and analytics team. This position will play a key role in designing, Data Analysis, and BI development of a cloud-based HEDIS Analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in data analysis, proficiency in SQL and Python, and a solid understanding of healthcare concepts such as HEDIS, HCC, and medical claims data. As a Director - Advanced Analytics, you will analyze complex datasets, generate insights, and support strategic decision-making to improve our quality departments.

What You'll Do

  • Perform in-depth analysis of healthcare datasets, including medical claims data.
  • Generate actionable insights to support business objectives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings.
  • Utilize advanced SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
  • Apply Python for data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation.
  • Apply healthcare concepts such as HEDIS and HCC in data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct data analysis and interpretation for HEDIS performance improvement.
  • Responsible for HEDIS reporting, including measure development and quality assurance.
  • Design and produce analysis related to 5-Star ratings, HEDIS, and other initiatives.
  • Support NCQA HEDIS report data validation.
  • Implement BI & analytics solutions to support organizational initiatives.
  • Build analytics dashboards with visualizations.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity in pipelines.
  • Collaborate with data/BI engineers for performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot issues with HEDIS platform processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs.
  • Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to analytics methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Masterโ€™s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health, or related field.
  • 8+ years of BI & reporting experience.
  • 7+ years with BI/Reporting software and healthcare standards.
  • 5+ years in Data Analysis & database solutions with MS SQL Server.
  • 7+ years in healthcare industry with data terminology knowledge.
  • Experience with HEDIS/CMS Star measures and statistical methods for healthcare claims data.
  • Healthcare experience with HIPAA protocols.
  • Extensive experience with advanced analytics tools like MSBI, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, Databricks, Python.
  • Knowledge of Big Data / Cloud Data Platforms is a plus.
  • Statistics foundation with control charts, significance testing, study design.
  • Strong multitasking and project management skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent human relations and communication skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
