Job Description

ABW Logistics DFW, TX.

Starting Pay Between $25.47 - $33.39 depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Hours – 6:00am to 2:00PM.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary

Job duties may include:

Leadership skills, ability to manage and work along side crew/co-workers
Responsibilities include: managing a small crew of 6 or more performing maintenance task, monitoring work quality, insuring adherence to time schedules and safe work practices
Fire safety equipment
- Working with fire pumps, fire risers (draining, filling, repairing, etc.), fire detection systems
Concrete repairs
- Using power tools
- Repairing failed joint sealants, cutting out and re-filling joints
- Repairing concrete damage/spalled joints
- Sealing cracks in concrete slabs
- Damaged bollards – replacing including chipping out anchors, re-filling, and re-installing new anchors
General upkeep work
- Painting
- Cleaning
- General organization of work spaces
- Taping drive lines
- Wall repairs
- Moving and installing furniture/TVs/cabinets etc.
Rack repairs/work
- Damaged rack feet, beams etc.
- Re-profiling racks
Forklift repairs
- Load wheels
- Bearings/bushings
- Drive wheels
- RF Equipment/scanners
- Bent forks
Occasional fabrication
- Cutting
- Welding
- Creativity in building solutions for problems that arise
Electrical work
- Forklift batteries and chargers
- Breakers – turning on and off
- Low voltage wiring
Plumbing
- Snaking drains
- Toilet repairs
- Sink repairs
- Fountain repairs
- Filter change-outs
Inventory management
- Keeping up with critical spares and ordering as needed
- Maintaining inventory of commonly used items
- Keeping track of repairs made to lifts via spreadsheets
- Keeping track of equipment installed/stored/changed via spreadsheets
Working at heights
- Repairs in racks
- Repairs on overhead doors
- Lighting
Dock equipment repairs
- Changing out door panels
- Re-installing door lift cables
- Chain tensioning
- Spring adjustments

- Prox-sensor diagnostics

- Communicating with operations team for intrusive repair work

Grounds upkeep
- Exterior painting
- Minor landscape-type work (rare, such as filling in erosion spots)

- Spreading ice melt and snow removal as needed
