Job Description

SUMMARY:

Is responsible for all aspects of company systems equipment and related software, procurement and development of computer systems and software. Manages the activities of the IT Department to ensure the smooth flow of the day to day operations of the department

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates and oversees all areas within the IT department.
  • Works with property IT management to align property goals and initiatives.
  • Maintains computer workstations, peripherals, and associated equipment.
  • Maintains and updates documentation for knowledge sharing on fixes and processes.
  • Establishes and services inventory and documentation of all computer equipment, peripherals, and supplies.
  • Procures equipment, software, and supplies as needed following company purchasing guidelines.
  • Ensures proper Corporate IT security procedures are in place and enforced.
  • Maintains network and system reliability in a 24/7 environment, and recommends corrections and deficiencies to upper management.
  • Plans and executes system developments, upgrades, and maintenance schedules.
  • Maximizes efficiency and productivity of all computer systems and data communication requirements.
  • Ensures proper software and hardware licensing, ensures maintenance contract obligations are met, and assists in establishing vendor relationships and support as needed.
  • Manage service ticket process ensuring all tickets are documented and addressed.
  • Maintains system compliance with the Gaming Commission and develops departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manages property phone systems to include mobile phone inventory and distribution.
  • Assists in training and supervision of computer users as needed.
  • Provide after hour support as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages department staff to include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees of the department. Plan, assign and direct daily work. Appraise performance; document concerns and discipline; address complaints; resolve problems; control the flow of supplies and materials; provide for the safety and security of department employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to critically think, multi task, and work under stressful situations.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Proven experience as an IT leader, preferably in the hospitality/gaming industry. Associate degree in any computer course or two (2) years in a computer technical school.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Nevada Gaming Control Board registration to be obtained upon hiring.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Knowledge of basic networking, peripherals, computer hardware, and software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Operating Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
