Description:

The Sports League and Events Administrator will assist with the administration and execution of Paragon Star sports programs and events including practices, leagues, camps, and tournaments. This position plays an integral role in customer management and service, coordination and event logistics, timeline management and overall onsite support for Paragon Star sports programs & events.


Part-time position working approximately 30 hours/week!


Sports League and Events Administrator Essential Job Duties

  • Assume a key role in the planning and execution of sports leagues and events.
  • Assist Director of Sports Operations & Events with the preparation and logistics of programs and events.
  • Assists in the coordination of event logistics. This includes but is not limited to set up, tear down, scheduling of referees, field marshals and trainers, use & placement of signage and equipment, and vendor coordination etc.
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, scoring, data entry, responding to emails, and assisting with documentation of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • At times work on-site at events and activities.
  • Assists Director of Sports Operations & Events with review/audit of referee pay and hourly staff.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by senior staff.

Sports League and Events Administrator Qualifications and Skills Required

  • A working knowledge and fundamental understanding of youth sports; particularly soccer, football, softball, as well as adult recreational/social sports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to constructively resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to skillfully gather information and provide effective problem-solving.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adjust to a variety of methods and approaches to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Remote work is not available, must live in or relocate to the Kansas City Metro area.
  • Weeknight and Weekend work may be periodically required.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office applications Excel & Word.

Experience and Education Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Management experience and/or administrating youth sports recreational and competitive leagues and tournaments.
  • Experience with sports leagues & tournament scheduling software systems.
  • Experience with sports leagues & tournament scheduling software systems; a working knowledge of GotSport and EZ Facility scheduling system is preferred but not required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • May involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to comfortably stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in all extremes of weather conditions.
  • May be exposed to high noise levels and require wearing hearing protection.
