We are looking for a Sr. Machine Operator to join our team in Loveland, CO. JFT will accept resumes until this position is filled.
We are looking for someone who wants to help build and grow a high-performance shop in the Northern Colorado region. The Sr. Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of machinery. They are responsible for set up and operation of both manual and CNC lathes, mills, waterjet & press brake machines. This position also supports programming of parts and estimating work.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Creates programs for processing of prototype and production parts.
- Produces custom tooling and fixture design as needed for complex prototypes.
- Operates standard and specialized equipment, i.e. engine lathe, horizontal or vertical milling machines, waterjet, press brake, band saw, drill press, and measuring tools to produce prototype parts.
- Consults with engineers and other personnel regarding product information such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of materials to be used for fabrication.
- Analyzes written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and oral instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.
- Plans part processing by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and processing parameters.
- Maintains current knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5- 10 years in a machine shop environment.
- Well versed CAM software (MasterCAM, Fusion360 or Inventor CAM Ultimate).
- CNC mill, CNC Lathe, press brake & waterjet experience.
- This position requires the incumbent to work with export controlled items.
- US work authorization required & JFT will not sponsor employment visas at this time.
