The Senior Software Engineer, UI/Data Visualization will be a member of an Agile team that are on the cutting edge of technology. These products are at the heart of what we offer to our advisors and their clients. We are a hybrid work environment in Weston, MA and require candidates to be available onsite 2 days per week. Key responsibilities

Acts as a technical leader by making significant technical contributions to the planning and implementation of mid- to large-scale projects from conception to completion
Demonstrates versatility of knowledge and applies strong technical skill base to contribute to meet strategic objectives
Validates requirements, performs analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation and support for assigned projects to drive application changes
Ensures compliance with coding standards and development procedures and suggests opportunities for improvement
Acquires and utilizes strong technical and application knowledge to introduce and forecast the impact of new software design patterns, code concepts, and emerging technologies
Shares information and expertise to improve the productivity of team and empower individuals
Acting as a subject matter expert within the organization while resolving complex technical issues or challenges
Acting as a mentor to develop and support team members
Leading multiple projects inside of the team and delegate tasks to team members
Builds deep domain expertise in analytics and data visualization practices and libraries
Experience collaborating with UI/UX and other cross-functional teams to deliver products that implement data visualization best practices to generate immense customer value
Takes a design-centric approach not just focusing on technical implementation

Preferred Strengths

Experience with test automation tools (Selenium), executed through CI/CD pipelines
Angular experience

Requirements, skills, and knowledge

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Web Design and/or equivalent industry experience
7+ years of software engineering experience building and releasing web applications
Expertise in modern front end Javascript frameworks, HTML, SCSS and Javascript coding
Experience implementing business critical web applications, web services and/or long-running backend data processing applications
Ability to provide technical leadership to team members
Expertise in implementing performant UI for business-critical data processing applications
A leader in coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience serving as technical expert throughout the full SDLC from conception specifically with Agile/SCRUM methodology, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance
Expert use with Jira, Confluence, and other related technologies
