We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. You will also be responsible for maitenancing and repairing small gas engines such as compactors, and standard work vehicles. You may occasionally need to be on call, and perform service calls to repair vehicles in the field.
Requirements:
- Provide your own tools as needed.
- Air Break certified.
- 2+yrs welding experience.
- 2+yrs experience working with heavy duty machinery and dump trucks.

Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components
- Conduct inspections to ensure equipment meets safety standards
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
Skills:
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of HVAC systems in vehicles and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Previous experience as a service technician or mechanic is preferred
- Familiarity with shocks, struts, brakes, and other automotive components
- Basic welding skills for minor repairs on industrial equipment
