Job Summary

As the Manager of IT Systems and Projects at GLOW Brands, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our IT landscape. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Information Systems and working closely with the Chief Information Officer, you will lead critical IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your expertise will guide the evolution of our systems, enhance our backend system setup, add to our SQL capabilities, and improve overall IT service delivery across all GLOW Brands entities.

The Manager will also master and support a diverse range of systems, including SunLync, Woven, SQL queries, and all system configurations. You will use your knowledge to conduct thorough investigations into technical issues and resolve system related IT tickets. This role involves crafting and disseminating clear guidelines for the Help Desk Management team regarding the configuration of promotions, alongside aiding in all aspects of quality assurance for promotions, price adjustments, and a variety of other initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for meticulously documenting system configurations and creating detailed procedural guides, ensuring that the IT team possesses the knowledge and instructions needed to execute their tasks efficiently and effectively.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Forge strong partnerships across the GLOW Brands portfolio to deliver IT projects that align with strategic business objectives.
  • Spearhead the implementation of backend system changes, meticulously documenting each step and contributing to the IT educational Wiki.
  • Lead project scheduling, system settings, and conduct quality checks to uphold company standards.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation for system enhancements, collaborate with vendors to ensure precise execution, and oversee the entire project support lifecycle.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to guarantee the successful rollout of company-wide initiatives, emphasizing adherence to IT testing protocols.
  • Manage the IT project portfolio, presenting regular progress reports to stakeholders and actively addressing and mitigating project risks.
  • Ensure robust data management practices, including the development of queries and reports that support business decision-making.
  • Maintain a vigilant stance on information security, working in tandem with the Information Security team to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Champion a culture of excellence within the IT department, offering mentorship and guidance to the Help Desk Management team and beyond.
  • Cultivate and update the IT Wiki and knowledge base for all projects, providing the IT Help Desk with crucial resources for effective troubleshooting.
  • Actively monitor and manage IT ticketing system to swiftly address and rectify system and backend issues, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Efficiently address, resolve, and conclusively close IT tickets, promptly responding to and rectifying reported system challenges.
  • Proactively identify patterns in system issues, collaborating with IT Management, Help Desk Management, and Information Security teams to investigate and implement long-term solutions.
  • Engage in regular departmental and vendor meetings to affirm comprehensive support and alignment with business objectives.
  • Liaise with vendors to acquire and evaluate new software updates, ensuring technological resources remain aligned with ongoing business requirements.
  • Maintain the utmost confidentiality regarding all applicant, client, and proprietary company information, upholding the organizations integrity.
  • Execute additional responsibilities as delegated by IT Management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to the companys evolving needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3-5 years Experience (Preferred)
  • Proven experience in leading projects and systems management within a dynamic, multi-brand environment.
  • Familiarity with GLOW Brands ecosystem (e.g., SunLync, Woven, iService) is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively, both in-office and remotely.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and an ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, driving improvements in IT infrastructure and services.
  • Excellent communication skills, underscored by a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Flexibility to work outside standard hours, including some overnight and weekend commitments, to meet project deadlines and perform system updates.
  • Occasional field visits and work to fully grasp project scopes and systems to understand their impacts at the operational level.
  • This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, along with the occasional need to travel to different sites within the companys portfolio.
  • Dexterity of the hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
