Our client, a global Am Law 100 law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for a transactional Associate with 4+ years of experience in their project development and finance group. The successful candidate may work from any of our client's offices, with a preference to work from their Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Orange County or Washington, DC offices.
Job Requirements
Candidates should have significant experience in energy project development, M&A and project finance transactions involving sponsors, investors, developers, and/or lenders, with a focus on renewable power and energy transition. In addition to transactional experience, candidates should also have experience in familiarity with energy regulatory matters, project real property and permitting requirements, and experience with offtake agreements, interconnection agreements and other commercial.
In addition, candidates should be team-oriented and capable of taking on significant responsibility for drafting primary deal documents (including purchase and sale agreements, investment agreements (including tax equity), financing agreements and joint venture agreements, leading complex diligence, deal management (including managing junior associates and internal specialist teams), client interaction and work product, and be willing to work the hours expected of a fast-paced, busy practice. Admission to one or more state bars is required.
