Summary
Federal Corporation, a leading factory rep & stocking distributor of mechanical equipment, boilers & controls for commercial & industrial applications, is seeking a motivated counter sales associate at our OKC, OK location. The Counter Sales team is the face of the company at our retail counter. As a counter sales associate you will play a crucial role in nurturing relationships and marketing Federal’s brand in a way that is positive, honest, and professional. The work you do on the phone and at the counter is directly linked to customer satisfaction and their willingness to share that experience with others. Combining superior listening and communication skills with an outgoing personality (answering phone with a smile) to build instant rapport is how the Federal Family can ensure our continued success for another 100 years.

Qualifications
• Energetic, customer focused team player with a willingness to help others
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted, regularly and sometimes daily
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, organized individual who can work independently with minimal supervision while multi-tasking and prioritizing work
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solving problems and obtaining solutions
• Familiarity with HVAC, industrial and mechanical equipment and solutions

Responsibilities
• Interact with walk-in customers at the front counter
• Assist customers in selecting required parts and recommend associated products and services
• Answers questions from customers or individuals on how a product operates or direct them to the person that can assist them
• Advise customer on substitution or modification of part when a part requested is not available
• Receive and process orders via the counter, phone, and email
• Reviews orders for correct handling, pricing, quantities, and shipping data. May directly receive and process payments for customers.
• Informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
• Pull and prepare inventory orders for customer pick up as needed
• Maintains an organized workspace and properly file documents, updates, and product information for future reference. (Digitally is preferred method.)
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
