Aeriz is searching for a full-time IPM Supervisor - for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA. The successful candidate will possess a passion for horticulture, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong cannabis knowledge with a willingness to continually learn more about the subject.

Position Overview: 
The IPEM (Integrated Pest Environmental Management) or IPM Supervisor is a full-time position in Riverbank, Ca. The IPM Supervisor oversees the facility's efforts to pre-empt, contain and remediate pests and disease in the cultivation area(s). The IPM Supervisor will train and oversee team members to monitor the plants for disease or harmful pests and to respond to threats. This is achieved by using a range of options from careful examination of plants and the surrounding area, analyzing disease pressure profile, deploying preventative biological controls, and responding to outbreaks.  This role will report directly to the Cultivation Manager and work on-site at our facility in Riverbank, Ca.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all cannabis pest and disease management.
• Manage a team of IPM specialists in scouting, identification, compliance, prevention, and treatments.
• Build application schedules and plans for addressing key pest and disease threats that are safe, used to label specifications, and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations for cannabis grown environments.
• Analyze any pest-related issue and respond appropriately with the proper techniques.
• Build systems for scouting and other IPM tools.
• Build an annual beneficials plan and system for tracking applications and challenges by time, cultivation area and zone.
• Update METRC with consumables used on plant pest maintenance.
• Ensure proper storage, disposal, usage, certification and reinforce these practices by helping to develop documentation such as: SOPs, Work Instruction, Forms, Logs, etc.
• Hold training courses for staff and create visual guides for pests and diseases.
• Research and quantify new products on the market that may assist with pest management.
• Assist the company in budgeting for the department, including monitoring and controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations in all activities under your supervision.

Qualifications
Qualifications
• Associate degree, preferably in Plant Sciences and/or Agriculture related disciplines preferred, or equivalent experience required. 
• 5+ years of horticultural experience in a commercial cannabis facility or large-scale agricultural facility preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience with IPM within a commercial cannabis facility or as a consultant desired.
• Knowledge in all cannabis media, and basic pesticide and beneficial insect products and brands required.
• Experience in the fundamentals of plant biology preferred.
• Must be and remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
• Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions consistently.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and grow with the company.
• Other duties as assigned by manager. 
• Knowledge of OSHA, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing preferred. 
• Active Driver's License and be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, stretch, and lift up to 30 pounds. Requires the manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and hand tools.

Work Environment:
This position can involve a fair amount of manual labor when needed, which requires repetitive tasks. This position operates indoors which can reach different temperatures. This position may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet. The Cultivation Department operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.
