Job Description

Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Sauk Village, IL

Compensation: $85-105k

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Job Summary:

Oversee the maintenance of mechanics and electricians, including planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance tasks. Continuously strive to minimize machine downtime related to maintenance. Efficiently manage changeovers and support the engineering team with design reviews and project implementation. Coordinate the preventative maintenance program and ensure employees are adequately trained in maintenance best practices.

Job Duties:

Manage day-to-day operations within the maintenance department.
Collaborate with the maintenance planner to uphold machine reliability through an efficient preventive maintenance program.
Ensure proper utilization of the work order management system by employees.
Supervise changeovers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
Oversee the storeroom to maintain adequate spare parts inventory.
Schedule and supervise maintenance activities for production equipment, printing equipment (SV Plant only), building, and grounds.
Provide training to employees on current maintenance best practices.
Assist production and process groups in troubleshooting machinery to minimize downtime.
Aid the Engineering group in capital project reviews and scheduling coordination.
Assist the Engineering group in reviewing new tooling designs.
Supervise contractors engaged in expense projects.
Monitor weekly expenses and ensure department spending remains within budget.
Conduct numerical identification and inventory of all equipment and support equipment.
Generate, analyze, and maintain records pertaining to all equipment.
Produce monthly maintenance status reports.

Qualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent technical experience
Minimum 6 years experience in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment
Management of maintenance teams
