Forklift Operator - Nights

In this critical position the Shipping/Receiving/Forklift Operator safely uses a Stand-up forklift to ensure ingredients and materials are delivered to required locations in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Keep a keen focus on safety every day and safely operate powered equipment in the work area.
• Supply ingredients to the manufacturing lines
• Fill the bins as required.
• Supply hand scaled Ingredients to the Production Floor
• Supply Packaging Materials to the Packing area
• Remove corrugate from the work areas.
• Maintain required paperwork.
• Report any mechanical problems to your Supervisor and Maintenance
• Maintain up to date knowledge of machinery in work area.
• Keep work area clean and without debris.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:

• High School or GED
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Five (5) years of Forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant
• Basic math skills
• Capable of working on a computer, navigating through multiple screens
• Understand and follow GMPs.
• Capable of understanding and following directions
• Capable of working with minimum supervision
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; schedule will be Nights, 2-2-3, 6PM - 6AM . Must be able to work weekends as scheduled.

Required Education and Experience

1. Minimum of 2 Years’ experience, in a warehouse, preferably supporting a manufacturing environment

• Will follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the CraftMark Bakery Food Safety and Quality Systems.
• Will be accountable to the CraftMark Bakery Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
