    Position Summary

    Our Marinas division is growing and seeking two outstanding Property Accountants to join the team! This is a highly visible role that will support both full cycle accounting and reporting as well as ad-hoc projects and analysis. This role will support Integra Marinas in enhancing the financial reporting process by reducing the number of days in the month end close cycle and assisting with enhancement of the existing reporting package(s).

    The successful Property Accountant will be a strong problem-solver, adaptable in an environment that is growing and changing, a natural relationship builder, and have a self-starter mentality. The individual is a key member that will contribute to the overall success of Marina’s business goals and objectives.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Lead the corporate month end close process including month end journal entries, allocations, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and preparation of other supporting schedules for inventory, accruals, prepaids, security deposit, accounts receivable, insurance, etc.
    • Responsible for the timely completion of monthly financial statements.
    • Own the entire A/P and A/R process.
    • Analyzes financial statements and budget for opportunities to share with Marina management and documents variances in a detailed and organized manner.
    • Communicates closely with on-site and other property managers to assist in completing pre-close and close activities, answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes.
    • Investigates discrepancies in tenant ledgers and communicate resolutions professionally to boaters and site managers.
    • Reviews rent rolls and lease agreements.
    • Support the external financial statement audit process by interfacing directly with audit team, managing PBC request list, and assisting with preparation of audited financials.
    • Support the tax return process by providing supporting documentation and schedules to external tax firm.
    • Assist with taxes and compliance, including sales & use, personal property tax, and business license renewals.
    • Maintains working knowledge of complex legal entity structures and manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
    • Ensures that SOPs, accounting policies, and technical accounting memos are followed.
    • Works closely with Site Managers and Team to ensure all staff are trained. Assist with adoption of new accounting standards including research, application, and documentation of all new accounting pronouncements.
    • Assists with ERP implementation and recommend future enhancements.
    • Supports Management with financial analysis such as DSCR reporting, forecasting, and liquidity metrics.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
    • 3-5 years in full accounting role and financial analysis
    • Accounting experience in hospitality, real estate operations, funds, or marina industries is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, Word, Outlook
    • Strong problem-solving, process-improvement, and decision-making skills
    • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting to tackle complex problems.
    • Sage experience is plus. Other software experience welcome: Dynamics, YARDI, RealPage.

    Physical /Work Environment

    • Onsite/Work is done in an office environment and mostly sedentary.

    • Minimal travel. May visit the marinas, occasionally.

    Downtown Miami- Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:30 with flexibility, some work outside regular working hours
