Job Description
Description:

About us:

At Poulin | Willey, we do more than practice personal injury law; we are shaping the future of legal advocacy, giving a voice to thousands against the titans of injustice. We are high volume and high energy. We are tech forward and data driven. But while we seek efficiency and optimization at every turn, our first core value is that we put our clients first. Our clients are not just a number to us - our vision calls for white glove client service throughout the process. We don’t just settle cases, we file them. And we take them to trial. Our firm is renowned for its formidable and relentless pursuit of recovering the full value of every case for our clients, a commitment that's known to anyone who encounters us in a courtroom.

If you're looking to join a team that combines legal innovation with a commitment to client advocacy, you've come to the right place.

  • We believe in justice for all – not just for the wealthy and powerful.
  • We believe that justice delayed is justice denied.
  • We believe that the best way to seek justice without delay is to manage all aspects of our firm using well-organized and uniform systems.
  • We are fast-paced and growth oriented.
  • We are tech forward and data driven.
  • We believe in rewarding smart, successful work.

About you:

You are a dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for efficiency and organization. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at leading teams to achieve common goals. While you may not have a background in law, you possess strong project management skills and a keen understanding of pipeline principles. You are a natural problem-solver with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and navigate complex challenges with ease. You have the ability to manage by data, making strategic level decisions on the numbers, without getting stuck in the weeds. You can manage a team with a thousand or more open projects at any given time - reviewing the data to identify bottlenecks, problem solving solutions to remove those roadblocks, and getting lagging projects back on track.

About the role:

The Director of Foundation plays a crucial role in the lifecycle of a case here at Poulin | Willey Trial Lawyers. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless execution of our initial or “Foundational” phase project plan, working closely with your team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results. Prior legal experience is not required. All new cases go through our Foundation team, whose responsibility is to gather the documents and complete the other foundational work necessary to turn the case over to a legal team for filing. Think of each client file as a project, each project requiring execution of essentially the same plan. You will need to possess strong leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement and optimize workflow efficiency.

Your mission is clear: continually review, revise, adapt, and refine the project management process with an eye toward increased efficiency; lead, manage, and hold accountable a strong team as they execute that plan at scale; and quickly identify projects that are falling behind, leading your team to get them back on track. All of this leads to one desired outcome: building a process and team that can complete as many cases as possible through the Foundation phase, to a rigorous degree of quality, in as short a timeframe as possible.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and execute the foundation process in accordance with established project plans and timelines.
  • Lead a team of foundation specialists who are dispersed throughout the globe, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.
  • Monitor progress and identify areas for improvement, implementing solutions to optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on foundation activities and resolve any issues or concerns.
Requirements:

What you need:

  • Proven experience in project leadership or pipeline/supply chain management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Keen attention to detail, while remaining high level and not getting pulled into the weeds.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • A love for all things metric driven and process improvement related.

Why Choose Poulin | Willey?

  • Become part of a scaling, legal organization whose core values guide all we do.
  • Enjoy a robust benefits package for full-time employees, including healthcare, telehealth, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays.
  • Be rewarded for your hard work through metric driven bonuses and incentive programs.
